Each day we scour the net looking for our favorite items, deals, and trends. Here’s what we discovered today!

Designer collaborations are endlessly thrilling to us. When you take two immensely talented visionaries and throw them in the ring together, the results are one-a-kind, sexy, and inspiring. Therefore, we’re leaping with excitement to learn that Mary Katranzou and Current/Elliott creative director Serge Azria are putting their collective talents together to bring us amazing, unique pieces. Combining the aesthetic of Katranzou’s latest London showing (which centered on the concept of old banknotes, foreign travel, and passport stamps from exotic locales), with Azria’s modern, intuitive denim renderings is guaranteed to produce deliciously wearable separates. Style.com reports that the collection of dresses, skirts, and jeans will hit stores in mid-February. Photos courtesy of Style.com.

The Classics

STYLEACME

I don’t know what happened to Toronto women while I was living in Seoul for the last few years. Trending has taken a shit all over us and the UGGly have gotten uglier (do not get me started on how much UGGS make me want to hurl on your shoes)–(oops, just turned 5 friends into frienemies..sorry….).

So how did this happen? Why are so many people saying YES to the Emperor’s new threads? Okay, so before I get slammed for being a hypocrite, yes I know, we are ALL victims of pop culture. Even you social norm defiants are guilty of being part of the trend. Isn’t that how the hipster was birthed? Regular v-necks are just too mainstream, let’s make it deeeeeeeeeeeperrrrrrrrrrrr. Even the “I don’t buy into labels” crew are part of the vintage/thrift trend. Oh yes.

But you know, some trends are great.

Thank you to whoever…

What We're Wearing Now...
Fall/Winter 2012 collections were brimming with a return to classic elegance, and one of the biggest shoe trends was the chunky, lady-like, square heel pump with a rounded toe.  In taupe patent or water snake, these heels will become your new staple.  Pair with brocade or subtly glittery ankle-grazing pants, an intarsia or striped sweater, and a pea or classic car coat in a bright color to really stand out for the upcoming season.

Cotton On Is Finally Here In Manila

Yes!!! I know you’ve been watching out for it and it’s finally here! Cotton On officially opened last September 7 at the Mall of Asia. I attended the Fashion Show were student models walked the runway showcasing Cotton On’s latest clothes that will be available at the store. I’ll be sharing about the event later but now, let me show you what you can expect with Cotton On.

Cotton On, the Aussie brand is finally here in Manila brought in by the Bench Group. Renowned for its winning combination of globally relevant fashion at affordable prices, Cotton On has definitely come a long way. Established in 1991, it used to be a small, family-run business with a big dream: to create a line of layered basics and on-trend fashion pieces that would satisfy shoppers’ fetish for cool clothing at unbeatable prices. Today, the label has quickly evolved into a bona fide fashion destination around the world—from Australia to the United States, parts of Asia like Singapore and Hong Kong, and now the Philippines.

Targeting males and females who are 18 to 24 years old, Cotton On offers relaxed fashion from their desk to the dance floor. But the brand is not just limited to that age group. There are also items available for teens and for men and women beyond that market. What’s to love about Cotton On is that items are frequently updated so style-savvy men and women can stay on top of the trends. But there are also staple items seen all-year round at the store like the Forever tanks, Annie skirts, Ritchie skinny jeans for ladies, the Lanchan tops and the Spitfire jeans for men. More on the women’s line, you’ll also find a mix of dresses, tops, and skirts in the latest fabrics, prints, and colors. For the men’s line, Cotton On offers essentials with a wide range of quality shirts, tanks, and long-sleeved tops in a palette of black, white, and charcoal plus splashes of the season’s hottest colors. Also available in the Philippines is the Cotton On Body, which has a wide selection of intimates, sleepwear, and active wear. Another is Rubi, Cotton On’s line of shoes.

Here are some stylish looks from Cotton On:

Great clothes, as always. A retail powerhouse like Bench itself, Cotton On never fails to bring in an irresistible combination of top notch, fashion products at rock bottom prices. Moving beyond Australia and opening a space in the Philippines is something Filipinos are very much looking forward to.

Watch out for other stores that will open this year in these leading malls: Bonifacio High Street, Greenbelt Mall, Lucky China Town, Robinsons Ermita, Robinsons Magnolia, SM Megamall, SM North Edsa.
